I was mountain biking at a local resort and half the people that day were wearing full body armor and half were not … I was part of the half that was not. I flew over my handle bars onto a rock and suffered a hairline fracture in on the bone just located outside of the hip, chest contusions, lip laceration and damaged teeth. The last time I stayed in a hospital, I was in the 6th grade. I’m glad I went in and had a CT and MRI scan, luckily all was okay. The doctors and staff were friendly and efficient. It was a very good experience for a small hospital. And more comforting than the larger ones. - Eric Hutchins

Dr. Kyle Swanson has performed two surgeries on me in the past 2 1/2 years; an Oxford/partial knee replacement and a total right shoulder. Both surgeries went extremely well! These were my 3rd and 4th joint replacements, and by FAR the most successful. It has only been a month since my shoulder replacement and I have no pain! Dr. Swanson is a gifted orthopedic surgeon and a caring and compassionate physician. I highly recommend him.

I want to thank an of you as a team for a "job well done" in the efforts of having my hip replacement procedure go so well. Without this team and the team at Barton Memorial Hospital I believe my process would not have gone so well... Dr. Bannar, I can't thank you enough for the great surgical attention and medical advise that you have given to me. Because of you, I can walk without pain and feel great... All in all, I would highly recommend the team that I had working for me, on both hip replacements. And I thank you for giving to me a great Holiday Spirit as well as as a wonderful quality of life.

I've been thinking about you [Dr. Bannar] as I approached the one year anniversary of my new knee. I celebrated with a solo four day trip to a remote corner of Death Valley. During this time, I gave thanks for your skills and kind care - it is no exaggeration to write that you have given me back the wandering afoot life that provides me much joy.

I just wanted to say thank you [to Dr. Bannar and staff] for the fast and uncomplicated achilles tendon surgery. My rehab went pretty well and I am back to surfing. This winter, I will be back on the snowboard... really looking forward to it!! Thanks again for the good work. - Maximilian

A little over a year ago, Dr. Rupp replaced my right knee! It took approximately 6 months to feel good, then another 6 months to feel great... Now it is as good as new. No pain, stiffness or complications. I can do anything I used to do when I was 40. Now at 70 I can walk and run and enjoy life. I'm thinking about another hike up Half Dome. After years of severe shoulder pain my family physician assisted me in contacting Dr. Kyle Swanson to see if anything could be done to alleviate my severe shoulder pain... In the past I had two operations on the right shoulder, but both procedures had failed leaving me in as much pain as before.By the time that Dr. Swanson had seen me, my shoulder was in terrible condition. Dr. Kyle Swanson operated on me at Barton Hospital, where I recieved some of the best care and attention post operative. Currently, it has only been five months since the operation was preformed and I'm very pleased to say that in the last month I've been out mountain biking about five to ten miles, three days a week, with absolutely no pain or discomfort. I can't say enough about Dr. Kyle Swanson and his staff... If you're ever in need of his professional skills I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I am. Seriously, last year I was planning on selling my mountain bike because I felt I would never be able to enjoy one of my favorite sports. Thank you again, Dr. Swanson for your understanding and outstanding surgical skills that has give me back one of my favorite past times. Also, I can't say enough about his sincere understanding and concern that he shows his patients.

...My daughter had back surgery with Dr. Fry. We stayed 2 nights in your new ortho rooms on the second floor... on the day of surgery, the pre-op staff is so professional and caring. Everyone helped settle our nerves and made our daughter quite comfortable with what was about to happen. Dr. Lee spent a great deal of time talking with Erika so that she new exactly what to expect... I was so impressed with the care we received that I needed to write this email. On June 4 2010 Dr. Rupp did a total knee replacement on my right knee...The surgery is a complete sucess !!! I am much better than before the surgery... No pain, no grinding and with my right leg being the same length as my left, the back pain has gone away. My thanks to Dr Rupp for his professionalism. He's pretty good at what he does !!!! From pre-op to post-op to playing golf in 7 weeks. Dr. Bannar and the entire Barton staff did an excellent job on my total left knee replacement. With great physical therapy from Jason Collin and Chris Proctor’s group, I was able to hit golf balls 3 weeks after surgery and played18 holes of golf within 7 weeks! Thinking about having the same procedure on my right in the future. - Dave H.
