Philanthropy is defined as the "
love of man kind" and
through the years, our community has shown through
its actions and support that we truly do care about our
neighbors. Almost 50 years ago, philanthropy was the
seed that inspired our hospital, which grew to become
Barton Health. This same passion to serve others is what
started the Barton Foundation and it still motivates us
today. We are deeply committed to improving the health
of the South Lake Tahoe area and to moving Barton
Health into the future. We are deeply indebted to the
businesses and individuals who have offered their support
throughout the years – they have truly made a difference in the lives of so many people.
Ways to Give:
- Volunteer your time for events or programs.
- Cash gifts today are directed to the fund or area you wish to support. Gifts can be made via cash, check or credit card. Click here to see a list of available funds your gift can benefit.
- Pledge a gift today and establish the time period over which you can fulfill your promise. Reminder statements or automatic credit card withdrawals can be established according to your schedule.
- Memorial Gifts on the Tree of Life. Any gift of at least $100 allows you to request an inscribed leaf for the memorial name you wish to honor. The tree is located outside the Skilled Nursing Facility entrance. Additional acknowledgement is sent to the memorial family in the donor’s name.
- Estate Gifting is made easy through Estate Planning. Working with your attorney or professional advisor opens up endless opportunities for you to make your wishes come true, leaving a legacy with a lasting impact in the community.
- Named Endowed Gifts can be established with a $10,000 minimum contribution to an established or mutually agreed upon fund. Endowed gifts are set up to spend only the investment earnings, maintaining the fund in perpetuity.
- Grateful Patient gifts to the Heartfelt Fund benefit our community's health. We encourage you to consider recognizing a special nurse, doctor, volunteer, department or someone else who went the extra mile during your experience at Barton Health.
