Join Barton Foundation’s 17th annual Golf Tournament and fundraiser, Friday, July 22 at Genoa Lakes – The Lakes Course in Genoa, Nev. for a fun “scramble” golf tournament. Various competitions including hole-in-one, closest to the pin and longest drive will be held throughout the course giving golfers the opportunity to win great prizes.
The entry fee before July 1 is $150 per person, $100 of which is tax deductible and $175 after July 1. The entry fee includes green fees, a light continental breakfast, golf cart, golfer amenity package, a barbeque lunch and no host bar. Registration, breakfast and raffle ticket sales will begin at 7:45 a.m. The tournament will officially begin at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start.
Last year’s tournament hosted 31 teams and 125 golfers at Genoa Lakes. The event raised nearly $25,000 for Barton Foundation’s Community Health Endowment – supporting the future health of the Lake Tahoe region and beyond.
Barton Foundation has raised more than $520,000 over the last 16 years from the tournaments. Endowment investment earnings have allowed The Foundation to fund various hospital projects including: construction of the Helipad; funding to the Hospice program and Health Resource Center; the purchase of automated external defibrillators for El Dorado and Douglas counties; Barton Memorial Hospital’s Healing Design Program and invest in the future expansion and renovation of Barton’s Community Clinic.
Organizations and individuals have the opportunity to sponsor many aspects of the event from special holes to candid photography. As the golfing ends, guests are invited to celebrate the day with a special awards celebration filled with exciting prizes and excellent barbeque.
