Barton Health Offers Free Sports Physicals

Local families who have tweens and teens who plan on playing sports soon, should mark their calendars for June 9 when free sports physicals are offered at Barton Family Medicine, 1090 Third Street, South Lake Tahoe.
The free physicals for boys and girls, begin at 4 p.m. and are offered on a first come, first served basis.
 
Barton Family Medicine has been offering this free service for 20 years. This year they are partnering with Tahoe Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and Barton Public Relations to make this year’s event bigger, better and more thorough.
Students from South Tahoe High School, Whittel High, St. Theresa’s School and the South Tahoe Middle School are invited to attend.
 
These sports physicals are crucial to the health of the youth who play sports. Serious health conditions have been detected at these physicals in the past, thereby preventing possible serious injury to players before they hit the field.
