Barton Names New PR and Marketing Director

Monica Sciuto has been named the new director of public relations and marketing for Barton HealthCare System. She has been with Barton for more than two years as marketing specialist.

Sciuto has a bachelor's degree in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis, and has more than 10 years marketing, sales and relationship management experience.

"I'm proud to be taking over the director of public relations and marketing position. I look forward to continuing to work for a health-care system that provides such valuable and critical services for the community," Sciuto said.

Sciuto said that two of the main goals on which she wants to focus in the next year are:

-- Increasing the number of outreach programs, including wellness programs and programs for uninsured and underinsured individuals.

-- Developing new programs and services that will address the changing demographics and economy in South Lake Tahoe.
