Chris Proctor, M.P.T., was recently promoted to the Director of Tahoe Center for Orthopedics (TCO) with Barton Health. Proctor has been with Barton for more than two years as the practice manager of the sports medicine and physical therapy program at Tahoe Orthopedics and Sports Medicine
"I am thrilled to be directing Barton’s efforts to expand the Tahoe Center for Orthopedics for our community and our visitors,” Proctor said. “Patient experience, integrated care and recovery time are among our top priorities and our patients will notice a marked difference in the care they receive.”
The Center boasts some of Lake Tahoe’s most elite board certified orthopedic surgeons, many of whom are affiliated with the US Ski and Snowboard teams and are nationally recognized for their partnership with the nation’s leading winter athletes. Working in conjunction with the orthopedic surgeons is the center’s highly-skilled surgery, medical imaging and rehabilitation teams. The multi-facetted team introduces a leading edge approach to the prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. It also is home to the internationally recognized Lake Tahoe Orthopedic Sports Medicine Fellowship Program – an intensive training ground for orthopedic surgeons from around the world.
Barton Health is working with Accelero Health Partners - a consulting firm specializing in the development of orthopedic centers - to catapult its status as a regional leader in orthopedics to an internationally recognized center of care.
“Our vision is to create an internationally recognized orthopedic center of excellence at Lake Tahoe, while providing our patients with a level of unrivaled care and commitment to their health and we are well on our way to fulfilling this goal,” Proctor said.
