GENERAL INFORMATION

Provides comfort and relieves symptoms of those who are terminally ill

The Hospice Team works with each person, their family and their Physician to determine the most beneficial treatment
-
For patients with a terminal illness who have a prognosis of six months or less
-
The Hospice team is state licensed, federally certified, and JCHAO (Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations) accredited
-
Available through a Physician’s referral
-
Covered under Medicare, private pay, private insurance, Medi-Cal and Medicaid and Helping Hands program, for those who qualify
-
Covers the following areas: South Lake Tahoe area and the Carson Valley Area (including Douglas County and Carson City)
