Men's Health Month

You pass big and small tests every day - but how often are you testing your health?

While maintaining a healthy lifestyle and understanding your family's medical history are important factors for determining your health risks, there is no better way to get a full picture of your health and catch potential life-threatening issues than visiting your doctor for routine tests.

Follow this schedule for health screenings that could save your life:

Blood Pressure
Ages 18-39: Every two years
Ages 40+: Annually
Prostate Exam
Ages 18-39: Every two years (unless family history or other issues, then annually)
Ages 40+: Annually
Cholesterol
Ages 34+: Every five years
If you have risk factors for heart disease, such as diabetes, screening should start at 20.
Colon Cancer Screening
Colonoscopy - Ages 50+: Every 10 years
Stool Test - Ages 50+: Annually
If you have a strong family history of colon cancer, screening should start at Age 40.
