About Tahoe Fit

Tahoe Fit workouts include a variety of cardio, indoor cycling, Barre, yoga, kickboxing, strength, and functional movement classes, in addition to unique quarterly classes designed to take advantage of the season and Tahoe surroundings like stand up paddle boarding, marathon training or guided mountain biking!

Toning Classes

Barre Flow
Barre Flow is a beautiful combination of Barre and Yoga Flow that improves strength and enhances flexibility. The ballet Barre is a fabulous prop designed to support the body in both static and dynamic movements leading to long, lean muscles. Come experience this body changing, low impact workout that is approachable for all fitness levels and ages. No dance experience is necessary.

Yoga Classes

Power Yoga
This class provides a vigorous and athletic style of yoga with an emphasis on strength and flexibility, along with Barre, a beautiful combination of Pilates and dance. The perfect class for those looking for higher intensity strength and flexibility training.

Yoga Flow
Yoga is the art and science of unifying body, mind, and spirit. The practice of yoga emphasizes the linking of physical poses, breath work, and meditations into a rhythmic, flowing practice. Yoga’s history and philosophies will be skillfully interwoven throughout class, ensuring a complete experience. Enjoy the health, peace, strength, flexibility, and coping skills that Yoga will bring to your life. Beginners welcome. Pose modifications provided.

Cardio Classes

Cardio Fit - Level I
Cardio Fit Level I is a class designed for the entry level to intermediate exerciser who is new to exercise or coming off an extended exercise hiatus. Workouts will challenge you while placing a large emphasis on exercise technique. This class will move at a slower pace while progressing gradually in order to build a fitness foundation consisting of strength, endurance, and flexibility. Once participants are comfortable with form and technique they will be encouraged to try out the level II cardio fit class.

Cardio Fit - Level II
Cardio Fit Level I is designed for the person who has been consistently following a workout routine and looking for a greater challenge. Workouts will consist of high intensity interval training (HIIT), running, and strength training. Participants joining this class should have a thorough understanding of exercise technique and be ready to move at a higher intensity for the majority of the hour long class.

Energize
Energize offers a high intensity workout regime that is effective for improved fitness and weight loss.  It’s a combination of Tabata, AMRAP and Body Blast. Maximum results in less time. All levels welcome.

Indoor Cycling
This class utilizes indoor cycling equipment to improve participants’ cardiovascular fitness and endurance level. Each individual will be precision fit to their bike for comfort and injury prevention and taught proper cycling technique. Participants will receive balance, strength and core training. In addition, each class will include stretching and flexibility.

Strength

Functional Fitness
This class is based on functional fitness; train the body to move, look and feel your best. Improve strength, flexibility, cardio and boost your metabolism. Using evidence-based research, this class blends mobility training, weights and intervals. Great for all fitness levels.

30 Minute, Midday Classes

Strength Circuit
Come join us for this mid-day 30 minute strength circuit workout! Circuit training is a fast-paced class in which you do one exercise for 30 seconds to 5 minutes and then move on to another exercise. We will alternate an aerobic activity (like stepping or stationary cycling) with a muscle-strengthening activity (like using weight machines).

High Intensity Intervals
This High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class is a total body, heart pumping, aerobic and strength conditioning workout. This interval-based class combines full-body strength training with high intensity cardio bursts designed to tone your body, improve your endurance and clear your mind.

Quarterly Classes

Tahoe Fit classes for fall 2017 and winter 2018 include:

Summer Running (class will end September 30)
This class will build your endurance from week to week so you can run farther for longer periods of time!

Track Running (class will end October 31)
Build confidence in your stride and get to the finish line faster with Tahoe Fit's running coaches!

Trail Running (class will end September 30)
If you've been pounding pavement and you want to develop your off road skills, explore some excellent local trails, and gain the health benefits of running on soft, uneven ground this series is for you. This hour long trail run will take you on a local circuit while providing instruction on technique, training, clothing and footwear specific to the sport of trail running. July 1-September 30, locations vary.

Outdoor Energize (class will end September 30)
Now outdoors in the LTCC Demonstration Gardens! Energize offers a high intensity workout regime that is effective for improved fitness and weight loss. It’s a combination of Tabata, AMRAP and Body Blast. Maximum results in less time. All levels welcome.

10am Yoga Flow

This is a 45 minute class, perfect for your morning routine!

Winter Conditioning
Kick off your winter season with a winter sports conditioning class. You will be ready for any outdoor winter sport with increased strength in your core, legs, and back. This interval style class will keep you on your toes every week!
