Restore Your Body
Take care of your body to keep active - learn how to restore muscles properly, get a massage, use a hot/cold pool, or try acupuncture.
- Be aware of how your body is feeling and how it is moving with a quick 5-minute body scan with mindful breathing and a few simple yoga poses.
- Are joints and movements stiff? Try foam rolling the muscles around that area for 3 minutes and follow up with some gentle stretching.
- Are muscles sore and feeling low on energy? Try improving circulation with hot/cold plunges or try acupuncture.
- Balance your activities in terms of how long or hard you go and how many consecutive days you are active. Always listen to your body.
- Be sure to eat well and hydrate after your activity.
