A neurologist diagnoses and treats disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nerves. Structural, biochemical and electrical abnormalities can result in a range of symptoms including paralysis, muscle weakness, headaches, pain, poor coordination, dizziness, loss of sensation, seizures, confusion, memory loss, speech difficulties, or numbness/tingling.

Barton Neurology is committed to improving the lives of adults, ages 18 years and older, in the Lake Tahoe area suffering from neurological disorders of the head and spine including:

Barton Health | Cleveland Clinic Connected

Barton is working with Cleveland Clinic Connected advisors to assess current and needed neurological care for our community.

The focus on neurology builds on Cleveland Clinic’s nearly 20-year presence in Nevada, which began with Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health in downtown Las Vegas in 2009. This specialized outpatient neurological center is dedicated to the research, treatment, education, and support of individuals and families living with neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias, Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders, and multiple sclerosis. With Cleveland Clinic in an advisory role, Barton Health looks to expand its future neurological services, including the addition of leading diagnostic technology to care for individuals facing neurological disorders in Lake Tahoe.
