Know Where to Go in a Health Emergency

Knowing where to go in a health emergency will help you get the best treatment possible. Barton Quick Care and Barton Urgent Care offer some of the same services as the Emergency Department at Barton Memorial Hospital, though do not treat life-threatening conditions.

Quick Care is ideal for treating uncomplicated injuries like minor cuts, burns, cold/ flu, and simple infections (such as a sinus infection or UTI). If a condition becomes more complex — like a cold turning into pneumonia or a broken bone (requiring an X-ray) — Urgent Care offers the ability to diagnose/ treat more complex issues.

If more advanced diagnostics or IV antibiotics/ fluids are needed, you will be referred to a higher level of care, such as an emergency department, to ensure the best treatment and outcome.
