Dr. Zachary Child is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon and musculoskeletal oncologist. He is skilled in addressing back pain and finding surgical and non-surgical options that help patients reach optimal spine health.

Most recently, Dr. Child has played an active role in the research concerning complex spine surgery and oncology. He taught courses in orthopedic surgery, spine surgery, and musculoskeletal oncology at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and was on the adjunct faculty at the University of Washington in Seattle. He has presented his findings across the nation and both his research and illustrations have been published on multiple occasions.
Back pain and spinal cord injuries can lead to chronic pain and limited mobility. Dr. Child’s thorough list of spine specialties include chronic back pain, injury and complication prevention in spine care, orthopedic trauma and spinal cord injury care, complex adult deformities, artificial disc replacement and repair, musculoskeletal oncology (bone tumor surgeries), and spinal cord infections. Non-surgical, surgical, and minimally invasive surgical options are available.
