Confused about Healthy Eating

With so many diets and eating plans to chose from, deciding which plan is best for you can be challenging. Follow a diet that is rich in vegetables, fruits and whole grains, and also incorporates low-fat dairy and lean meats like fish, poultry along with nuts, beans and eggs.

- Eat breakfast every morning, and make it a healthy one.
- Limit coffee intake to no more than three cups per day, and avoid adding fattening creamers and sugars.
- Avoid takeout and cook dinner at home.
- Limit saturated fats, salt, trans fats, cholesterol and added sugars.
- Look for nutrient-rich foods- fill your diet with whole foods.
- Choose a variety of healthy foods to prevent dietary boredom.
- Limit portion sizes.
- Eat meals regularly through the day at evenly spaced intervals.
