Barton Foundation 25th Annual Golf Tournament Benefits Community Health

(South Lake Tahoe, Calif.) – The 25th Annual Barton Foundation Golf Tournament tees off Thursday, June 13, at Lake Tahoe Golf Course. All proceeds from the event benefit local residents via Barton Foundation’s Community Health Endowment, which supports community health initiatives and facility investments within Barton Health. Early bird registration for the tournament is available now at bartonhealth.org/golf.

The Barton Foundation provides critical funding each year to improve facilities, provide staff training, purchase medical equipment as well as pay for programs including Cancer Support Services, hospice, and Camp Sunrise child bereavement camp. In addition, the Foundation provides funding for community grants that support programs and organizations serving community members that have an unmet need for healthcare.

“For 25 years, our community has come together to support access to health care for the benefit of our area,” said Angela Moore, Barton Foundation Board of Trustees Chair.

Tournament check-in and breakfast starts at 8:00 a.m. and a shot gun scramble format with teams of four at 9:00 a.m. Tournament registration includes continental breakfast, golf and golf cart, drink tickets, and a buffet lunch. Prizes will be awarded for best-themed team outfits, best team score, longest drive and closest to the pin. The states are high in this year’s pay-to-play putting contest, whose winner could take home $10,000 for sinking a 50-foot putt. Early bird registration is available now at $175 per player or $700 for a foursome by May 3, 2019. After the early bird deadline, the registration fee for individuals will go up to $200 for individuals and $800 per foursome.
