Testing for COVID-19 is ongoing in our area for both individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and those with no symptoms.

Barton Health

Barton Health is testing symptomatic patients for COVID-19 using the appropriate testing guidelines. If you have experienced, in the last 14 days, fever or chills/rigors/shaking, muscle or body aches or pain, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, headache, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea, fatigue, congestion or runny nose, OR if you have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days, please call your health provider’s office.

Public Testing

El Dorado County

El Dorado County Public Health is providing public testing for Lake Tahoe residents (from California and Nevada) in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday-Saturday from 8am-4pm at the Lake Tahoe Airport.

The free county testing is available for asymptomatic or symptomatic individuals (children and adults of ALL ages) and testing can be done more than once at no cost.

Quad Counties (Douglas, Carson City, Storey & Lyon Counties)

Carson City Health and Human Services is continuing to offer COVID-19 testing for Quad-County residents with symptoms on site in Carson City. Testing is free of charge and is by appointment only. To schedule a test call the Quad-County COVID-19 Hotline, Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 775.434.1988. Nevada residents may also use Nevada Health Response's COVID-19 test site finder.
