Your Appointment

Barton Health offers both virtual visits and in-person appointment types. For your health and safety, your care team will determine which appointment type is appropriate for you.

  • Virtual Visits, including telehealth appointments via Zoom Health or telephone appointments, will be arranged before your appointment, and if applicable, the office staff will help you set up your Zoom Health access. More information about Virtual Visits.
  • In-person Appointments will be seen within your provider's office and require a virtual screening process prior to entry. When you arrive at your appointment, please call your provider's office to be checked-in and screened from outside the building or within your car. Only essential visitors are able to accompany patients to appointments.

Our Physician

Brian L Steixner M.D. is the Medical Director of Urology at Barton Health. He completed his General Surgery training at The University of Pennsylvania. He continued his training in Urology at The University of Pennsylvania and The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, one of the busiest and most comprehensive urology programs in the nation. During his surgical training, he received the Clinical Excellence Award in Urology from the University of Pennsylvania and the Resident Achievement Award from the Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons. Beyond his training at UPENN, he completed specialized training with the National Urology Resident Preceptorship Program at the Cleveland Clinic and completed an advanced program in the treatment of enlarged prostates at The University of Pennsylvania. Throughout his years of training, he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of all aspects of Urology including urologic cancers, kidney stones, and voiding issues in men and women.

Dr. Steixner places the highest priority on helping patients and their families to understand their medical condition and the rationale for choosing an individualized treatment plan. He is a caring and dedicated physician who develops long lasting relationships with his patients. He holds himself, and all members of the Urology team, to the highest standards of care to ensure the most optimal outcomes for his patients. He is happily married with a young daughter and son. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, hiking, running, and being outdoors.
